What We Do

What We Do

As a Catholic school, we follow the Come and See Catholic syllabus. Come and See gives our children opportunities to explore the religious aspects of questions about life, dignity and purpose within the Catholic tradition and other world faiths. Children reflect on personal experiences and links are made with Catholic and non Catholic faith traditions.

Our staff and children have worked hard over the last few years to develop an exciting and innovative skills based curriculum with a shared whole school focus. The curriculum follows half termly themes which allow our children to develop core key skills which are applied across the full curriculum. Our curriculum has been planned taking into account changes to all subjects in the new national curriculum which became statutory in September 2014.

Learning at St. Cuthbert's is further enhanced by lessons in swimming, French, music, well being, outdoor learning at our roundhouse and ICT as well as lots of curriculum linked trips and activities. For more detailed information on the individual curriculum followed by each class at St. Cuthbert's please follow the links to the left of this page.
