Admissions to Reception

As we are a Roman Catholic Primary school, our admissions criteria is set by our Governing Body. The criteria is detailed in the admissions policy below.

In accordance with the School Admission Appeals Code, the Council as the admission authority for community schools must set a timetable for organising and hearing appeals.

Admissions to Nursery

We have 26 part time places in our Nursery for children attending our Nursery morning sessions Monday to Friday. One Nursery session is 3 hours in length – 15 hours for the week. We also run an afternoon Nursery when numbers allow, again this is 3 hours per day and 15 hours per week. 

Applications for Nursery places should be made directly to the school. Please contact our school office if you would like to request a Nursery application form.

Please note that a place at St. Cuthbert's Nursery DOES NOT guarantee a place in St. Cuthbert's Catholic Primary School.

Admissions to Secondary School

Our feeder secondary school is St. Thomas More RC Academy in North Shields.

Please note that a place in St. Cuthbert's Catholic Primary school is not a guarantee of a place at St. Thomas More RC Academy. Details of their admissions criteria can be found in the policy listed on their website.
